This is Just My Opinion

This week is not just an ordinary week for me. The recent events in the Philippines affected us in so many ways possible. I want to look at it this way:

It is true, there are lapses, but this is not the end of the world for us.

We all make mistakes, but how we treat it paves the way for something greater.

People died, families mourn. Both parties lost someone important.

We tend to be emotional. Yes, it’s natural for humans to react that way.

We are afraid to die. Another natural instinct, self preservation.

There are problems, let us focus on the solution.

Yes, you can blame everyone. But at least, try to understand.

I’m sure people can finally understand each other in the end.

Why Tell Me What to Do?

It’s really annoying when people tell you what to do when you already have a planned coarse of action. It seems they underestimate you with your decisions. I do not disregard suggestions and an alternate plan, but to act as if you’re more knowledgeable without any respect for your ideas, I think it’s really annoying.

We Have a New Leader

I wrote this post just to express my feelings about our country. Like before, I still don’t go deep with political issues and other stuff. I just want to express my ideas about the new leaders of our country.

Honestly, I have high hopes about this new government. But still, I will wait and see how everything goes. It’s too early to say anything.

I just hope justice may be served to everyone who deserve it.

Subtitle Delay Solution

A week ago, we experienced something a bit disturbing in the area of subtitling. We all asked ourselves, why is there a 1 second delay on our subtitling project?

We gathered and consulted the technical team and tried to resolve the issue at once. Everything was reviewed and considered by our team, including the materials used for the whole project.

The problem? Well it’s a bit complicated yet simple in a way. We discovered an anomaly concerning file conversion.

The files used to spot the project is from a WMV format converted to a VCD format. While the final DVD video is not converted from the smaller file.

It is suitable to convert from DVD to VCD and use the same converted file for the whole project.

There are other causes to these delays which I plan to discuss one by one.
